Both are set per connection, from the server that created it.
Flags switch individual relay behaviours on or off. You can turn on several at once.
| Flag | What it does |
|---|---|
no_attachments |
Files and images aren't relayed (the text still is). |
no_links |
Messages containing a link aren't relayed. |
origin_only |
Only messages from the origin channel are relayed (announcement mode). Set the origin with !set_origin. |
hide_server |
Relayed messages don't show which server they came from. |
allow_bots |
Messages from other bots are relayed too. They're ignored by default. |
!enable_flags no_links
!disable_flags no_links
!flags (shows what's on)
Only your #announcements channel sends, and partner servers just receive:
!set_origin (type this in #announcements)
!enable_flags origin_only
Text modes control what relayed messages look like.
| Mode | Name | Looks like |
|---|---|---|
0 |
Card (default) | An embed with the sender's name, avatar and server |
1 |
Plain text | Name • Server: message |
2 |
Mimic | Posts using the sender's own name and avatar, like a normal message. SidLink needs Manage Webhooks in every linked channel. |
3 |
Compact card | A small embed with no avatar or footer |
!set_text_mode 2
!text_modes (shows the list)
If mode 2 can't use a webhook in a channel, SidLink posts plain text (mode 1) there instead. Run
!verifyto see which channels are missing Manage Webhooks.
